At Bert's request no services will be held. Private burial will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery. He died on Oct. 27 at the age of 74.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1929 in Willow Springs, Mo. He came to California in 1937 settling in the Dinuba area where he graduated in 1948 and married Bernice Hert there in 1950. He served in the Army during the Korean War. After the war he moved to Visalia in 1967. He owned and operated Bert's Refrigeration Service for 28 years in the Exeter, Visalia area.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Murrell of Visalia; one son, Thomas Murrell of Tulare; one daughter, Lori Murrell of Fresno; two sisters, Lela Kroeker and Anabelle Furman; three grandchildren.
