Funeral services were held on Oct. 30 for Pearl L. (Homan) Atkinson, 90, of Exeter. She passed away on Oct. 26.
She was born on June 1, 1913 to Robert and Ida (Smith) Homan in Smithton, Mo. She and her husband, J. Pierpont Atkinson, their son Robert Joseph Atkinson, both deceased, and their daughter, Janet, moved to Exeter in 1946. She was a past deacon of the Exeter Presbyterian Church where she and Pierpont were members of the Mariners, she was also active in the Exeter Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Guild, the Pink Ladies, the Thrift Shop and the Exeter Woman's Club. She was an avid bridge player and a member of several clubs and groups.
Her daughter, Janet L. (Atkinson) Downs currently of Exeter and son-in-law, Richard V. Downs; many nieces and nephews, survives her.
