Graveside services for James Odell McMath, 72, of Exeter, formerly a resident of Lindsay, were held on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. He passed away on Nov. 24.

He was born in Ozark, Ark. on March 2, 1931. He was a long time resident of Lindsay. He worked at Lindsay Olive Growers for many years. After retiring he was employed by Shropshire Trucking, Inc. as a truck driver. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church in Porterville. He was an avid runner and enjoyed running marathons. He served proudly in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Rillis McMath of Exeter; two daughters, Patsy Boone of Strathmore and Carrie Guinn of Lindsay; two brothers, Bobby G. McMath of Lindsay and Kenneth McMath of Lone Grove, Okla.; sister, Sue Franklin of Strathmore; six grandchildren.
