Graveside services for Ruby Augusta Maise, 94, of Visalia were held on Tuesday, Dec. 2 in Brea, Calif. She passed away on Nov. 23.
She was born in the state of North Carolina on April 27, 1909. She was raised in North Carolina and married there to Eugene Maise in 1932. They moved to California in 1934 to the Cajon Pass area. She worked as a caregiver for many years. Mr. Maise passed away in 1974 and she moved to Tulare County in 2002 to be near family.
Survivors include one son, Frank Maise of Arkansas; two daughters, Martha Marshburn of Visalia and Shirley Foster of Mission Viejo; one brother, Estes Tolbert of North Carolina; one sister, Connie Andrews of North Carolina; grandchildren, Melinda Bergman, Jana Botkin, Laura Harms and Timothy Maise; great-grandchildren, Ashley Bergman, Cory Bergman, Audre Harms, Chelsea Harms, Austin Harms, Nicole Maise and Samantha Maise.
