Private family services were held for Mildred Orpha Baker, 83, of Lindsay. She died on Nov. 27.

She was born on March 27, 1920 in Missouri. She was a resident of Lindsay for 65 years. She was a school teacher for 30 years. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospitals and teaching kids to read. She attended the Church of God Holiness.

Survivors include two sons, Neil Baker and Noel Baker both of Lindsay; daughter, Karen Paolangelo of Springville; two sisters, Linda Quiram of Porterville and Claudine Boyajian of Chowchilla.

Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
