Funeral services were held for Ruby M. Gibbs, 72, on Dec. 4 in Exeter with interment in Exeter District Cemetery. She passed away on Nov. 29 in Bakersfield.
She was born in Porum, Okla. on Jan. 31, 1931 to Ruth and Tommie Weaver. The family moved to California in 1942 and to Exeter in 1946.
She was the most precious mother of three daughters, grandmother of two grandsons and one great-granddaughter whom her life revolved around and who greatly loved her and will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her daughters, Karyn Clevenger and husband Al, Laura Bailey of Bakersfield and Ruth Navarrette of Granite Bay, Calif.; grandsons, Richard Gibbs and wife Francine and John Moreno; great-granddaughter, Christina Gibbs all from Bakersfield; brother, Roy Weaver of Toledo, Ore.; two sisters, Mary Lee Kinslow of Porum, Okla. and Levada Staggs of Exeter.
