A memorial service for David Paul White, 58, of Strathmore was held on Dec. 16. He died on Dec. 11.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1945 in Lindsay. He was a graduate of Strathmore High School and a graduate of Long Beach State University. He served in the U.S. Army for two years in the medical corps. in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf, he was an outdoorsman. He was a member of the VFW He worked in the citrus business for Baird-Neel. He was an athlete at C.O.S. where he played football and ran track and holds a track record that will never be broken because the event no longer runs.
Survivors include his son, Joshua David White of San Francisco; daughter, Alicia Ballard of Vacaville; mother, Anna White Lanning and step-father, Robert L. Lanning of Lindsay; brother, Stephen White of Lindsay.
Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
