Graveside services for Verlin Mallonee, 83, of Exeter were held on Dec. 12. He passed away on Dec. 9.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1920 in Douglas County, Mo. He was married to Zolene Flud on March 15, 1968. He retired from Lindsay Olive Growers in 1983 where he worked at a forklift driver. He attended Assembly of God Church in Farmersville.
He was a very loving husband, father and devoted grandfather who was loved very much and will truly be missed by all.
Survivors include is wife, Zolene of Exeter; two sons, Bill Mallonee and wife Charlotte and Tom Mallonee and wife Debbie of Washington; two step-children, Tom Flud and Linda Tyler; four grandsons, Jim Mallonee and wife Melyssa, Robert Mallonee, Tom Mallonee and wife Andrea and Troy Mallonee and wife Chris; granddaughter, Debbie Priest and husband Eddie; 10 great-grandchildren, Tara, Jason, Caleb, Sarah, Spencer, Sydney, Lindsey, Sean, Casey Mallonee and Kyle Priest; sister, Christine Souder of Exeter; two nephews, Marvin and Ralph Souder; one niece, Sue Robinson of Missouri.
Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
