A memorial service was held on Jan. 5 at Exeter Presbyterian Church for Georgia Irene Coday, 82, of Exeter. She passed away at her home on Dec. 30, 2003.

She was born in Norwood, Mo. to Garrett and Maude Cunningham on March 19, 1921. She was raised in Missouri and moved to Michigan before coming to Exeter in 1945. She married Russell Coday in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1946. She worked 26 years as a court clerk serving the Exeter-Farmersville Municipal Court. She had been active in the Business and Professional Women's Club as well as the area blood drive and food closet. She was a member of the Exeter Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Coday of Exeter; three daughters, Susie Bock and Gail Olmos both of Visalia and Debbie Lopez of Ivanhoe; three sisters, Lois Scott, Barbara Myers and Ruth Galloway all of Exeter; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
