Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay for Crispin Lopez Martinez, Jr., 46, of Lindsay with Mass being held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He died on Jan. 17.
He was born in San Jose on July 28, 1957. He was a resident of Lindsay for 40 years. He worked as a farm laborer for 10 of those years. He attended Lindsay High School and later received his GED. He loved to draw using different types of media such as pencil, ink and chalk. He enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels by Dean Kuntz and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his two daughters, Jessica Martinez and Crispina Martinez both of Porterville; his parents, Crispin Martinez and Maria Martinez both of Lindsay; brother, Alfredo "Freddie" Martinez of Lindsay; two sisters, Diana Gil of Lindsay and Sylvia Martinez of Hanford; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Lopez Martinez in 2001 and a sister, Lisa Martinez in 1996.
Visitation is from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
