A memorial service was held on March 1 for Lueslie Grace Sheldon, 84, of Lindsay. She died on Feb. 24.

She was born on July 24, 1919 in Anaheim, Calif. She married Charles Sheldon on Dec. 2, 1939 in Lindsay.

She was a resident of Lindsay for 72 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, needlework, ceramic, painting and genealogy. She was a member of the Lindsay First Presbyterian Church, Lindsay Garden Club, Republican Woman's Club and was involved for many years as a volunteer in church youth activities at Strathmore First Baptist Church. Her biggest love was her family and caring for them.

Survivors include her two sons, Charles H. Sheldon and Paul N. Sheldon both of Lindsay; two daughters, Lueslie Ann Owen of Porterville and Katherine Jean Sheldon of Modesto; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 351 E. Hermosa St., Lindsay, CA 93247 or American Parkinson Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Ste. 4B, Staten Island, N.Y. 10305-1946.

Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
