A Celebration of Life service was held on Friday, April 2 for Nancy J. Miller, 41, of Exeter.
She completed her journey and returned to our Lord on March 30 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was the youngest of five children, this heavenly angel began her earthly adventure in Olathe, Kan. on May 13, 1962. She was the daughter of Don and Anita Howard; she lived in Tulare County for nearly 35 years and attended school at Sequoia Union Elementary, Exeter High, C.O.S. and Fresno City College and intended to pursue her dream of helping others as a nurse before meeting the man of her dreams. She married Terenece "Terry" Miller of Exeter on Aug. 8, 1992 and the two of them brought two beautiful daughters into the world; Elise 10 years and Audrey eight years.
Nancy was a very devoted mother and often spent time in her children's classrooms assisting as a frequent room mother and classroom aid. In addition, she participated as a leading member of M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers).
She was a phenomenal baker and one day hoped to open a small shop in downtown Exeter where she could create tasty delights for all. Her humor was one to be envied. Nancy had the ability to brighten a room with her slapstick style wit.
She is survived by her husband, Terence Miller; parents, Don and Anita Howard; daughters, Elise and Audrey; sister, Christy Tomi; brothers, Mark, Scott and Brad Howard.
A devout Christian and wonderful servant to our Lord, she was a beautiful woman who enjoyed the outdoors, had a love for butterflies and saw some good in nearly everything. A daughter, loving wife, dedicated mother, fantastic sister, and great friend; even though we know she is in a better place, she will be deeply missed until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in memory of Nancy J. Miller Memorial Fund, c/o Visalia Community Bank, 300 E. Pine St., Exeter, CA 93221 or any other branch of the bank. On-line condolences may be made to www.smithfamilychapel.com. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.
