A memorial service was held on March 20 at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Pleasant Hill, Calif. for Edward Oren Keck. He passed away in San Francisco of congestive heart failure at the age of 50.
Cherished husband to Michele Keck for 28 years, and loving father to daughters Abbey Keck and Wendy Keck.
He was born and raised in Woodlake where he lived on the family owned ranch outside of town run by his grandparents Oren and Melinda Ruth.
He attended Humboldt State University where he met Michele. They spent their life together in Contra Costa County.
Family includes sister, Nancy and husband Gerald Richards of Big Flats, N.Y.; brother, R. Daniel and wife Kathi Keck of Yakima, Wash.; cousins, Paul Coupin and wife Melissa and Ann Runyon; sister-in-law, Lori and husband Phil Vella of Martinez, Calif.; step-mother, Dorothy Keck; mother-in-law, Barbara Fogerson of Clayton; and nephews and nieces, Guy, Michael and Donald Ryerson, Nichole, Matthew, Adam and Heidi Keck and Lyndsay and Matthew Vella.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Keck and Yvonne Keck.
He was wise, hardworking and inventive. His management and business skills were respected in the printing and facilities management industry. Hobbies included 4-wheeling in the Western U.S., photography and computer technology.
