Graveside services for Erwin H. Marden, 86, of Tulare were held on April 13 in Fillmore, Calif. He died on April 9.

He was an avid fisherman and everyone's handy man. His hobby was chopping wood. He was married to his first wife Dathine Marden for more than 40 years. He then married his second wife, Melba in 1981. He enjoyed camping, square dancing, gardening and was a self-proclaimed mechanic. He loved children and was very playful with them.

Survivors include his wife, Melba Warden of Tulare; son, Michael Marden of Oxnard; daughter, Melodie Lawry of Modesto; three step-sons, Darrell Gilliland of Chino, Larry Gilliland and Lyn Gilliland both of Tulare; step-daughter, Kathy Coughran of Visalia; two brothers, Marion Seigler of Florida and Jake Seigler, Jr. of Fillmore; sister, Ruby Taft of Fillmore; four grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dathine; four sisters and three brothers.
