Born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on Jan. 19, 1921 he passed away in Fresno on April 5 at the age of 83 years.
He moved to Oklahoma as a child and then to central California. He served in the Army during World War II and had been wounded in battle. After the service he returned to the Tulare County area having lived in the Exeter, Farmersville and Visalia area. He worked as a bartender for many years having last worked for Searcy Bar in Visalia. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Eagle's Lodge of Exeter.
Survivors include his son, Travis D. Anderson of Visalia; daughter, Wanda Enmon of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Joe Anderson of Selma; sister, Velma Freeze of Concord, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kennith and Janette Anderson and Doug Enmon.
