Memorial services for Jacqueline Evelyn Spriggs, 84, of Visalia, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 at First Baptist Church in Exeter. Lunch will be served following the services. She passed away on April 11 in Visalia.
She was born in Tupelo, Okla. to Steve and Beulah Collins on Oct. 11, 1919. She was raised in Oklahoma, coming to Visalia at the age of 10. She graduated from Visalia Union High School in 1937 and married William A. Spriggs in Exeter in 1938. They lived in Lindcove before moving into Exeter in 1950. Jackie had worked as a citrus grader for 35 years in the Exeter area. Mr. Spriggs passed away in 2003. She loved yard sales, quilting, and camping at Bullhead City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Exeter.
Survivors include her son Bill Spriggs and his wife Patricia of Visalia; one brother Owen Collins of Idaho; five sisters, Theresa Crowley of Visalia, Verda Pardue and Donna Coiner of Exeter, Marjorie Archer of Oregon and Joyce Grant of Cayucos; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Clifton.
