Memorial services for Serena Maria Garcia, 24, of Farmersville were held on April 15 at the Exeter District Cemetery. She passed away on April 7 in Visalia.
She was born May 2, 1979 in Exeter. Her friends called her "La Smiley." Serena's hobbies included going to the movies, listening to Reggae music and oldies, playing cards, dominos and billiards. Her favorite sports teams were the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Lakers.
She is survived by her son, Isaiah Garcia; daughter, Kristina Perez; mother, Veronica Franco; sister, Crystal Garcia; brothers, Isaac Garcia and his companion Camile Houston, Israel Jaramillo; two nephews; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Eliseo Martinez and Joe Garcia. She had many aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Garcia; sister, Letty Franco; and grandmother, Nico Garcia. Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
