F.C. "Jack" Griggs Jr., a resident of Ventura, died there Sunday, April 18. He was 83. He was buried in Carpinteria.
Mr. Griggs, a native of Exeter, was a long-time resident of Porterville before residing in Ventura. He loved growing orange trees and attended church all his life. He was a petroleum engineer for Jack Griggs, Inc. Griggs also served with the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Griggs of Oxnard; sister, Luann Robertson of Capitola; brother, James Griggs of Exeter; and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Home in Santa Barbara.
