A mass of Christian burial for Jose Lino Morales Mejia, 48, of Strathmore, will be held at 10 a.m. today, May 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay officiated by Father Alex Ignacio. He will be buried in the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery. He died on April 30 at Kaweah Delta District Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1955 in Mexico and married Lidia Espinoza of Strathmore. He has been a resident of the area for 24 years and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay. He was a farm laborer working in citrus. He is survived by his wife, Lidia Morales Mejia of Strathmore; seven sons Miguel, Daniel, Jose, Enrique, Adan, Juan, and Eric Morales of Strathmore; four daughters, Laura, Alicia, Juliana, and Maria Morales of Strathmore; several brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home of Lindsay.
