Funeral service for Elnora Irene Chrisman, 79, of Reedley was held on May 7 at the Little Country Church of Navelencia, Reedley and the Reedley Cemetery. She died on May 3.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1924 in Navelencia (Reedley), Calif. to Ernest and Mary Weltmer. She attended grade school in Navelencia and graduated from Reedley High. She was married to Loren Chrisman on April 4, 1943 in Navelencia. She loved to quilt and crochet and loved all varieties of flowers and was especially proud of a beautiful Iris garden that she had planted and taken care of in prior years. She also loved spending time with her daughter, Mary and husband, Gary and son, John and wife Lynn and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Little Country Church of Navelencia.
She is survived by her husband, Loren of Reedley; one daughter, Mary Ernst and husband, Gary of Three Rivers; one son, John Chrisman and wife Lynn of Reedley; five grandsons, Aaron Ernst and wife Patricia of Visalia, Jason Ernst and wife Lisa of Visalia, Joshua Ernst and wife Erika of Visalia, Johnny Linn Chrisman and wife Gina of Fowler, and Casey Chrisman and wife Paula of Reedley; eight great-granddaughters, Korrinne, Alison, Morganne, Cassidy, Chesslyn, and Gwenyth Ernst of Visalia, Samantha Chrisman of Reedley and Sarah Chrisman of Fowler; three great-grandsons, Elijah Ernst of Visalia, William Chrisman of Fowler, and Cejay Chrisman of Reedley; three nephews, Joe Boyd of Orosi, Jack Boyd of Fresno, and Ernie French of Bakersfield; and one niece, Donna Hale of Bakersfield.
Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Chapel of Exeter.
