Service was held for Junior D. Page, 84, of Bakersfield formally of Farmersville, on May 18 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, Calif. He died on May 9 in Bakersfield.

He was born in Weber Falls, Okla. on March 29, 1920 to Dudley and Rosella (Kelley) Page. He moved to Bakersfield and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge on Sept. 13, 1945, he returned to Bakersfield and was an oil field worker for more than 35 years before retirement.

He married the former Geneva Steers in Reno, Nevada on July 25, 1983. The couple moved to Farmersville in 2003 and returned to Bakersfield in 2004 due to his wife's health. Junior was a very respected man and will forever be in our hearts, gone but not forgotten.

He is survived by his wife; Geneva Page of Bakersfield; children, Ray Gene of Modesto, Rose Page Hammonds of Ceres, J.D. Page of Modesto, Patsy Ann Page of Bakersfield, Terry Lee Page of Modesto; step-sons, Johnny Steers of Bakersfield, Bob Steers of Farmersville, Michael Steers of Woodlake; step-daughter, Louise Stephens of Bakersfield; sisters, Sarah McClure of Modesto and Lucille of Templeton, Calif.; several grandchildren and several great-gandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 13 great-stepgrandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
