Services were held for Frances "Frankie" Tuinstra, 80, of Exeter on June 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a private burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. She died on May 28 in her home.
She was born in Sanford, Florida to James and Mollie Sullivan on January 22, 1924. She moved to Downey, Calif. as a child and attended school there. She married Ernest "Dutch" Tuinstra in Las Vegas on March 20, 1979 where Frankie was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Exeter, the Women's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 94. She took an active roll in helping senior citizens of the area.
She is survived by her husband, Dutch Tuinstra of Exeter; her mother, Mollie Rose Walker of Visalia; children, Robert E. Tuinstra of Pismo Beach, Nancy Lynn Bednar of Placentia, Richard Beliakoff of Anaheim, Mike Beliakoff of Apple Valley and Wanda Nelson of Anaheim; one brother, Jim Beliakoff of Downey; one sister, Mary Ann Wolsey of San Jose; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
