Services will be held for Karl Lee Karsten, Jr., 33, of Visalia on Friday, June 11 at 1p.m. and visitation will be on Thursday June 10 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel in Exeter. He died on June 6 in Visalia.

He was the son of Karl and Patricia (Gutierrez) Karsten, Sr. He was born on March 31, 1971 in Torrance, Calif. In

1985 he moved to Exeter with his family. He graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1989. Karl was the star football player #22 on the Exeter Football Team and also excelled in baseball. After eight years, he lost his courageous battle with leukemia. He was a loving son, grandson, devoted father, loved cousin and special friend.

He is survived by his parents, Karl and Patricia Karsten, Sr. of Visalia; grandparents, Ed and Ruby Sharver of Visalia and Irene Karsten of Hesperia, Calif.; his son, Karl Lee Karsten III of Visalia; sister, Sandy Marie Karsten of Exeter; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
