A mass was held for Linda Diane Katz, 55, of Lindsay on June 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lindsay officiated by Reverend Alex Ignacio. She died on June 5 at California Pacific Medical Center and will be buried in Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1948 in Compton, Calif. She married Robert Katz on June 4, 1976 in Chino, Calif. She was a resident of Lindsay for 11 years. She graduated from Fontana High School. She worked for Tulare County Department of Education for four years as a clerical assistant. Before that she worked as a civilian for the department of the Navy at Point Mcgoo in Oxnard, Calif. She was a supervisor purchasing agent. She devoted time to helping others by working for and speaking for California Transplant Network, Donar Society, and California Hepetitis Task force. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she taught catechism and sang in the choir. She loved her family and her dog Laddy.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Katz of Lindsay; two sons, Robert Katz, Jr. of Visalia, Richard Katz of Visalia; four brothers, Richard Trimble, Makie McGraw, Terry Tremble and Tony McGraw; four sisters, Patricia Wheeler, Debbie Lee, Emmie Bernard, and Margie; two grandchildren, Alexandria and Fabian.
Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home of Lindsay.
