Burial services were held for Vera A. Tompkins, 84, of Exeter on June 3 at Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel and Exeter District Cemetery. She died on May 31 in Visalia.
She was the daughter of John and Lena (McCoy) Bradley. She was born on Aug. 14, 1919 in Pushmataha County, Okla. where she was raised. She married Elbert Tompkins on Dec. 30, 1939 in Antlers, Okla.
The couple moved to Lindcove in 1944. She was a fruit grader. She was a loving mother, sister and a special nurturing aunt to Wayne, Ella Jean, Christie and Lisa Bradley. Vera was a member of the Lindcove Community church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bradley, on Dec. 20, 1998.
She is survived by a son, Wesley Thomas Bradley, III of Exeter; brothers, Homer Bradley of Lemon Cove and Carl Bradley of Bremerton, Wash.
