Graveside services for Frank C. Rector, 86, of Visalia were held on June 16 at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery and officiated by Reverend Dennis Mackey. He died on June 12 at Kaweah Delta District Hospital.

He was born on October 22, 1917 in Wallace, Idaho. He was raised in Lovell, Wyo. He then moved to Billings, Mont. and worked as a bartender. there he met and married his loving wife Ruby "Goldie" Golberg on Nov. 11, 1941. He was enlisted in the Navy as a medic from 1941 to 1944. They moved to California in 1948. He worked in the citrus industry for over 43 years. During that time, he became part-owner and manager of Cal-Citrus Packing Company in Lindsay. He enjoyed golfing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie Rector of Visalia; one son, Greg Rector and wife Debbie of Exeter; two daughters, Charlotte Jones and husband Lindian of Visalia, and Susan Green and husband Mike of Visalia; five grandchildren, Stephanie Rector of Visalia, Shawn Jones of Visalia, Kerri Jones of San Diego, Nicole Davis of Seattle, Wash. and Shelley Vorenkamp of Fresno; two adopted grandchildren, Patti Martinez of Lindsay and Michael Rector of Lindsay; and three great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Joey and Hayley Smith of Lindsay.

Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home of Lindsay.
