A Celebration of Life Service for Dona C. "Billy" Price, 72, was held June 30 at Calvary Chapel of Visalia. She joined her Lord and Savior on June 25.
She was born in Exeter on June 26, 1931 to Everett and Evelyn Fischer. She attended Exeter schools, graduating from High School in 1949. She continued her education achieving her AA Degree in Business & Accounting from COS in 1951.
She was involved in many activities in High School including: Yell Leader, "49er" Class Vice-President, and lettering three years in varsity tennis. She continued with tennis at COS and was on the championship tennis teams in 1950 and 1951.
At age 19 she began work for Pacific Olive, which later became Early California Foods. She enjoyed 37 years as a dedicated employee. She was known for her integrity and impeccable accounting skills. While there she was highly respected by her co-workers and the growers who dealt with her.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, bowling, tennis, cats, investments and travel. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Chapel where she cherished the fellowship she received there.
Her life centered around her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her love was always strong and unconditional. She lived and taught the "Golden Rule" in every aspect of her life.
She was preceded in death by her nephew Robert "Bob" Loverin. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Welch and husband Everett; sons, Clay and wife Tammy, Craig and wife Karnell; grandchildren, Caleb and Kimmie Price, Kelley Landers, Josh and Sean Packard, Dennis and Emmet Welch; her sister, Irene Kumnick and her husband, Chris; and special nephews, Tim and Orlen Loverin.
Donations may be made to the Women's Guild of Pleasant Valley Chapel, 33350 Globe Drive, Springville, CA 93265. Arrangements were under the direction of Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel of Visalia.
