Graveside services were held for Anna Bell Tubbs, 88, on Monday July 19 at the Visalia District Cemetery. Anna Bell passed away July 14 and was a long time resident of Visalia and former resident of Exeter and Farmersville.
Anna Bell was born February 7, 1916 to Albert and Sarah Patton in Bellville, Ark. On December 28 1930 she married Allen Tubbs and in 1938 they came to California, settling in Northern California and then moving to Visalia. She was a homemaker and sometimes worked outside the home. She was a clerk in the bakery department for G.I. Market; a waitress at Nielsen's Drive-in, (now known as Mearle's); and a sales clerk for Ensign's.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Allen, a daughter Ella Stevenson, parents, a sister and a brother.
She is survived by three daughters, Ruby Archibald of Visalia, Sue Cutler, Exeter; Paula Edwards and husband Orville of Mojave Valley, Arizona; and son-in-law Bob Stevenson of Visalia; sisters, Ellen West of Visalia, Mae Lee Lunsford of Carlsbad, New Mexico; brothers, Carl Patton of Visalia, James Patton of Carlsbad New Mexico; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.
