Service for Albert "Bud" Sweeney, 76, of Woodlake will be held on today, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel. Albert "Bud" Sweeney, a life long resident of Woodlake, passed away Aug. 7, 2004.

He was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Exeter and lived on his ranch south of Woodlake. His ranch was part of the original home place established by his grandmother, Nancy Jane Sweeney, more than 100 years ago. He was the youngest son of Patrick and Viola Sweeney. He was a WWII veteran and worked for the National Park Service as a mule packer out of Cedar Grove for 30 years.

He is survived by two sisters, Edith Romey and Rose Wynne of Visalia; three sons, Michael and his wife Vikki, Steven and his wife Yvonne, and Darryl Sweeney, all of Woodlake; two daughters, Debra Fonseca and Sherry Jump Sweeney both of Woodlake; 12 grandchildren, Cody and Jake Sweeney, Carrie Sweeney and Cole Fonseca, Jamie, Jason and Lisa Hardin, Kayla, Chelsea, Stevie Sweeney, Dallen, Patrick and Riley Sweeney; three step grandchildren, Josh Jump, Jamie Sheffield, Jennifer Conteras, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements werer under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
