A combined Rosary Mass for Luciano Herrera of Lindsay was held on Aug. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lindsay. He died on Aug. 8 in his home in Lindsay.

He was born in Riverside on May 1, 1933 to Jose and Rita Herrera. He was a resident of Lindsay for almost forty years and his occupation was a mechanic. After retiring six years ago, he concentrated on enjoying his friends and family, always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. He also enjoyed working on cars and was an avid reader of war history books. Most people knew him as Chano or "The Bullet" because he was a pretty active fellow. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Molly Herrera; father, Jose Herrera of Lindsay; and John, Joe, Frank and Peter Herrera of Riverside; and Jesus Herrera of San Jose, Calif. He is survived by his mother, Rita Herrera of Lindsay; daughters, Becky Duran and husband Angel of Farmington, N.M., Sally Ann Herrera of Riverside, Calif.; sons David and wife Josie Herrera, Joey, Eddie, and Rudy Herrera all of Riverside, Calif.; sisters, Mary Helen and Mercy Herrera of Lindsay; brothers, Lalo, Michael, Rich, and Robert Herrera all of Lindsay; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Webb-Sanders Funeral Home of Lindsay.
