Graveside service followed by a memorial service for. Solomon Berg, 94, of Tulare was held on Sept. 8 at Visalia's First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the North Tulare Cemetery. He died on Sept. 2.

He was a member of Lindsay Assembly of God Church for over 50 years. He later attended Bethel Assembly of God in Tulare and then Visalia's First Assembly of God. He was very involved in church, teaching Sunday school. He was a board member and a superintendent. He felt it was very important to volunteer his time and service to his church. He retired from the Lindsay olive plant in 1972 and his hobbies were playing horseshoes, fishing and playing cards.

He is preceded in death by four brothers and nine sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Eloise Berg of Tulare; two daughters, Jeannie Lewis and Peggy Elmore both of Tulare; one sister, Ruth Berg of Visalia; seven grandchildren, Scott, Jon, Bob and Mike Lewis, and Steve, Dave, and Danny Elmore; many nieces and nephews.
