A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Haro, 73, of Farmersville was held on Oct. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Visalia. Burial is at the Woodlake District Cemetery. He died on Oct. 1 in Visalia.

He was born in San Bernardino on Feb. 22, 1931 to Juan and Alice Haro. His family came to Woodlake when he was young. He served two terms with the US Army in the Korean War. During his service he received two Purple Hearts and numerous medals. Upon returning home he became a Construction Worker until retiring in 1994. He married Helen Jeanette Howell in Goldendale, Wash. on Oct. 18, 1963. He helped his daughter, Danielle at the Karis Homes. He enjoyed golfing and had a hole in one at Valley Oaks Golf Course at Hole #8 from 189 yards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Alice Haro; and two brothers, Charles and Ernest Haro. He is survived by his wife, Helen J. Haro of Farmersville; children, Danielle Carson of Visalia, Robert Haro, Jr. of Visalia; brothers, Lupe Haro of Woodlake, John Haro of Woodlake, Joe Haro of Woodlake; sisters, Eva Haro of Woodlake, Alice Diaz of Woodlake, Rita Hernandez of Dinuba, Lillian Lupercio of Elko, Nev.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miller Memorial Chapel of Woodlake.
