Services for Maxine Collier, 88, were held on Oct. 29 at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Dale R. Seaman officiating. A family-only burial was at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery. She died on Oct. 24 at her home.

She was born on July 1, 1916 in Plainview, Texas. She was a resident of Tulare County for 67 years. She worked for Starks Packing in Strathmore for 25 years and for Strathmore Packing in Strathmore for four years. She loved traveling in her RV; sports, especially football; having family and friends over to her house; and watching her grandchildren in their sporting activities.

She enjoyed playing dominoes and 42. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Porterville. She also helped her late husband run their trucking company. She was a caring person who took care of her mother and helped in raising her grandchildren. She married Guy Lewis Collier on June 3, 1989 in Portale, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd N. Crawford in 1985; her second husband, Guy Lewis Collier on May 27, 2004; her brothers, Arnold B. Tillery, Richard H. Tillery and Harvey B. Tillery; and her sisters, Melba C. Brown, Opal N. Flovin, and Maureen Pierce.

She is survived by sons, Arnold W. Crawford of Lindsay, Bruce Floyd Crawford of Lindsay, Jerry Glen Crawford of Strathmore, and Larry Gene Crawford of Strathmore; stepsons, Dorman Larry Collier of Strathmore, and Ronnie Lewis Collier of Pleasanton; daughter, Ilene M. Snyder of Visalia; stepdaughter, Joyce Collier; brother, Hugh L. Tillery of Klamath Falls, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
