Private services for Elizabeth A. Woods, 79, of Visalia were held. She died on Dec. 14 in Dinuba.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1925 in Bakersfield to Irvin and Lillian Randolph. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1943, Stephens College in Missouri in 1946 and University of Redlands in 1949. She married John Woods in Bakersfield in 1949. Together they moved to Visalia in 1951. She had been active in the Alter Guild of St. Paul's Episcopal Church as well as being active with the Miss Tulare County Pageant. She worked for Downtown Visalians as a secretary for 20 years and enjoyed knitting, and her bridge club, for the last 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Woods of Visalia, in July of this year.

She is survived by her son, Michael Woods of Visalia; one daughter, Dana Sansom of Exeter; one sister, Linda Braun of Florida; and nine grandchildren.

Private burial was held at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine under the direction of Smith Family Chapel. Online condolences may be made at
