Services were held for Daphne Abney, 93, of Exeter on Jan. 18th. She died on Jan. 12 in Visalia after a short illness. She was a homemaker.

She was born on April 16, 1911 in Elmore, Okla. She married Homer Abney on Aug. 14, 1931, they moved to California in 1942, and retired to Exeter in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Abney; her daughter, Annona Williams; and her son, David Abney.

She is survived by two daughters, Nina Harrah of Wyoming, and Judy Greer of Montana; two sons, H.L. Abney of Exeter, and Jerry Abney of Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Her family wishes to express love and many thanks for the caring and concern by Dink Williams, who went far and above the duties of a son-in-law.

Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
