Services for Robert Edward Lord, Sr., 74, of Contra Costa, Calif. were held on Jan. 22 in Antioch, Calif. He died on Jan. 16 after battling lengthy health problems.

He was born on May 13,1930. He was a long time resident of Contra Costa County. Bob was a graduate of University of California, Berkeley and UC San Francisco's School of Pharmacy. He owned and operated Pleasant Hill Pharmacy for many years. He was a member of the ROTC program and the U.S. Army where he served as a demolition expert and developed his lifelong love of firearms.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen.

He is survived by a son, Robert Jr. and his wife Diana, of Concord; a daughter, Janis Lord Macaulay and her husband Ted of Exeter; four grandchildren, Eddie and Andrew Macaulay and Kristina and Michael Lord; a sister, Deanna Littau; brother-in-law John Keane; several nieces and nephews.

He was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Memorial contributions may be made to a local Hospice.

Arrangements were under the direction of The Neptune Society.
