Graveside services for Eva Marie Kendrick, 90, of Visalia were held. She died on March 4 in Visalia. She was a homemaker.

She was born on Feb. 9, 1915 to Oscar and Minnie (Ford) Walker in Lamar, Colo. She married Homer Kendrick in Okla. on June 3, 1931. They had two children. Eva and Homer had 70 years of love and devotion to each other before Homer passed away on May 6, 2000. They made their home in Woodlake for 50 years. She had a plant hospital nurturing sick plants back to health and was a member of the Woodlake Garden Club for 45 years where she served in numerous offices. She assisted many ladies in the Garden Club who could not drive. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Minnie Walker; one son, Delford Kendrick; and one brother, Ralph Walker.

She is survived by her son, Al Kendrick and his wife, Linda, of Visalia, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Cotham of Exeter; one sister, Grace Brown of Sun City; two brothers, Lloyd Walker of Elk Grove and Gene Walker of Hemet; five grandchildren, Danny Kendrick of Fresno, Kenneth Kendrick of Downey, Sheila Brechmann of Fresno, David Kendrick of Visalia and Ruth Hoover of Exeter; 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Tulare Co., 900 W. Oak St., Visalia, CA 93291. Arrangements were under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
