Memorial services were held for Martha Katheryn Bridges, 92, of Lindsay. She died on April 14 in Lindsay. She was a resident of Lindsay since 1947 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lindsay, where she was active as a member of Session, Deacons and Women's Guild. She also taught Sunday School and was a wedding coordinator.

She was a member of P.E.O., Lindsay Garden Club, Lindsay Hospital Guild and was active in PTA, Jobs Daughters, as well as Girl Scouts, Brownies, and her weekly Bridge and Skip-Bo groups. She was a very accomplished hand quilter and seamstress. She also did needle point work. In 2002 she was honored by A.A.U.W. with a Community Service Award. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bridges. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Veninga of Elk Grove, Calif.; Jerri Parsons of Manteca, Calif. and Bonnie Wolfe of Visalia; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Myers Funeral Service, Lindsay.
