A graveside memorial service for Dorothy Irene Dahl, 84, of Visalia, will be held on May 6 in Canon City, Colo. She passed away on April 20 in Visalia, Calif. She was an office clerk.

She was born on July 17, 1920 near Williston, North Dakota to Robert and Sadie Hunter. During her childhood, Dorothy lived in North Dakota and Minnesota.

In 1938, Dorothy married Paul Dahl at a Seventh-Day Adventist campmeeting in Anoka, Minn. They were dairy farmers in their early married life and later moved to the Minneapolis area where Dorothy was a homemaker. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Salida, Colo., and later to Canon City, Colo.

Dorothy loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. She found great joy in her family. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, bird watching, reading and traveling in Denmark.

She is survived by her three children; Robert Dahl and his wife of Plymouth, Minn., Judy (Dahl) Brenner and her husband of Exeter, and Kenneth Dahl and his wife of Enid, Okla.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Una Posey and Mildred Lehman.

Arrangements are under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
