A memorial service was held on April 12 in Gresham, Ore., for Gladys C. Thompson, 85, who died April 6 in Fairview, Ore.

She was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Lindsay. She graduated from Lindsay High School in the class of 1937. She married John A. Thompson on Nov. 6, 1939, in Lindsay. Mr. Thompson died Jan. 23, 1952, in Los Angeles.

The Thompsons moved to Van Nuys, Calif., in 1942. Mrs. Thompson was employed by Northrup-Gruman for 30 years.

Mrs. Thompson moved to Gresham, Ore., in September 2004 to be near her daughter.

She is survived by daughters Carol Kazowski of Fairview, Ore. and Donna Tidrick of Oakland, Ore.; son John Thompson of Van Nuys, Calif.; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren; brothers Ralph D. Holsinger of Apcata, Calif. and Paul N. Holsinger of Medeira Park, B.C.; and sister Ruth M. Holsinger of Van Nuys. She was a member of St. Marks Presbyterian Church in Van Nuys.
