Born in Woodlake April 7, 1929, to Cecil and Laura Jobe, Anita attended Woodlake Union High School, College of the Sequoias and received her nursing degree at California State University, Bakersfield.

During that time she worked for Tulare County Health Department for the Aging, and she continued working for them after graduation.

She married Don Howard in Lemon Cove in 1951. She dedicated her life to her family and her faith.

She asked only to love and to be loved … by her family and her God. She succeeded.

She is survived by her husband, Don Howard of Visalia; and four children, Brad Howard of Visalia, Mark Howard of Fresno, Scott Howard of Lemon Cove and Christy Tomi of Three Rivers.

Anita was a member of the Lemon Cove Presbyterian Church.

The family asked that donations be made to the Lemon Cove Presbyterian Church in lieu of flowers.

The memorial service for Anita Howard was Sunday, June 12, at the Lemon Cove Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Chapel, Exeter. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilychapel.com.
