Born in Thomas, Okla. to Edmond and Mary (Rodgers) Stevenson on April 1, 1922, she passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 at her home in Exeter at the age of 82. Margaret came to Exeter at the age of three with her family. She graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1940 and married Kenneth R.Scott in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 15, 1940 having been married nearly 65 years. Margaret was a member of Modern Woodmen of America and had been active at the Exeter schools.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Scott, of Exeter; on daughter, Louetta D. Ward of Arkansas; two brothers, Clyde Stevenson of Visalia and Elmer Stevenson of Australia; seven grand children and 17 great-grandchildren. One son, Carl K. Scott, predeceased her this year.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Exeter Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Chapel, Exeter. Online condolences may be made to www.smithfamilychapel.com.
