Born in Los Angeles to Floyd and Pearl Reiff, Ray G. Reiff passed away on Nov. 1, 2005 in Visalia. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 1940, sailed to Pearl Harbor and was there for the duration of the war. He met and married Marie F. Fredrick in 1944. He obtained his public accounting license after attending night courses at UCLA. In 1964 he moved to Exeter where he practiced public accounting and farmed citrus. He retired in 1983. He was active in the Sequoia Union School District and Exeter Veterans Memorial Board; a charter member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and a member of Exeter Kiwanis for 25 years.

Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie, of 45 years and was married in 1990 to Lora S. Degran for eight years. He is survived by sons, Ray G. Reiff of Muncie, Ind., Floyd W. Reiff of Visalia and Lowell G. Reiff of Corona, Calif; daughter, Frances M. Rosker of Redding, Calif; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
