A graveside service was held for Treva M. Leigh, 78, of Visalia, Jan. 10 at Visalia District Cemetery. Treva was born April 19, 1927 in Maysville, Okla., and made her Transition on Jan. 3, 2006 in Visalia. She is now once again with our Dad, Bill Leigh, who was the love of her life and they were true soul mates in every sense of the word. For while we will terribly miss her physical presence, we know that she and Dad, and their little Boston Terrier, Mickey, are all together again. With this knowledge, we celebrate not only her life, but Dad and Mickey's as well, as we are comforted in knowing that they will never be apart again. Together forever!

Mom was well known in the agricultural community as the inseparable partner of the business she and Dad owned together, Pent-A-Vate Inc.; also known as Biological Testing and Research Laboratory, which was located in Lindsay. Mom was always by Dad's side, developing processes, researching and improving upon their yucca product, and solving agricultural dilemmas for not only local growers, but also international corporations and governmental agencies worldwide. With Dad running the scientific side, and Mom working the business end; the Leigh team was continuously requested to share their knowledge. This request came not only from local growers, packing houses, universities and corporations nationwide, but also by many countries worldwide, as well. This led them to travel to Israel, Greece, France, England, Mexico, Canada, and across the United States, from Hawaii to Florida. They also did work for China, Russia, Japan, South America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and many, many, other countries. They loved to travel, laugh, and live life to the fullest.

Mom and Dad had numerous friends, ranging from those they grew up with locally, did business with, met along their lives and travels, from all over the world; and everyone of them was truly special to the both of them. At the loss of Dad, Mom carried the torch and continued to run the business and worked up until her recent illness. She had recently decided to finally close the business and retire, her love of travel once again calling her. She was eagerly looking forward to new adventures with family and friends. Now, she is forever traveling on the most exciting vacation of her Eternal Life with Dad, and little Mickey by their side. Both Mom and Dad were extremely well known in Lindsay. They both were as much a part of their community as the town itself. Not only through their business, but also in their support of their town. They could always be seen at local events, fund-raisers, parades and restaurants, always laughing, always greeting friends, and always together. She was preceded in her Transition by her husband and soul mate, Bill Leigh; her brother; Fern Barber; her parents, J.D. and Maggie Barber, and her little Boston Terrier, Mickey.

Treva is survived by her two daughters, Kim Leigh and Josie Figueroa of Visalia, her brothers, Jim Barber of Walnut Creek and Trent Barber of Arlington, Texas; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marketa and Larry Todd of Visalia, and sister-in-law, Thelma Barber of Lemon Cove. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, and many, many friends who she always considered family. We love you Mom. We shall carry you in our hearts from now until we meet up with you again. We know that you, Dad, and Mickey are having the time of your Eternal Lives. We celebrate that you are Together Forever.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be sent to The American Heart Association. Our Local American Heart Association: Fresno Division, 7425 N. Palm Bluffs Ave., Suite 100, Fresno, CA 93711. Thank you.
