Gwendolyn &#8220Gwen” Epperson

Gwendolyn &#8220Gwen” Joy Epperson passed away in her sleep, Aug. 9, 2006, of natural causes, at the age of 77. No services will be held and her family requests that friends not send flowers or cards, but just remember this wonderful caring lady in their hearts.

She retired from Contel Telephone Company after 30 years of service as a construction clerk. She enjoyed golf both as an amateur tournament player and as a spectator at major PGA events. She was a member of several local bowling leagues. She was also an avid swimmer. Her main passion was her family and friends. She loved hosting family and friends Bar-B-Ques and was famous for her homemade macaroni salad. She was born in Brewster County, Texas, the only daughter of Paul and Eva Harmonson, July 1, 1929. She graduated from Visalia High School and attended Visalia Junior College.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers; Houston and Paul J. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Earl Epperson; two sons; Sam and John, two nephews; Perry Harmonson of Tulare and Lynn Harmonson of San Francisco and a niece, Susan Harmonson Buck of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Arrangements are under the direction of Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
