Traditional Russian graveside services Bill W. Suhovy, 77, of Strathmore were held at the Woodville District Cemetery. He passed away Aug. 20, 2006.

Bill was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Fresno and resided in Strathmore for most of his life. He graduated from Strathmore High School with the Class of 1947. Bill worked for Lindmore Irrigation District as the watermaster and was also a farmer. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and being a licensed private pilot. During the war, at the age of 16, Bill drove the school bus because all the men were away fighting the war.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Suhovy of Strathmore; sons, Bill Suhovy Jr. of Porterville, Alan Suhovy of Strathmore and Steven Suhovy of Madera Ranchos, Calif.; a daughter, Janet Suhovy of Diamond Bar, Calif.; his brother, John Silznoff of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Webb Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
