Funeral services were held for Floyd Thomas Lacy, 93, of Lindsay. He passed away Aug. 14, 2006. Interment was at the Tulare Public Cemetery District.

Floyd was born Oct. 25, 1912 in Huntington, Tenn. to Charles and Tilda Lacy. He was raised and attended school in the White Oak Creek area of Arkansas.

He came to California the first time in 1929 and then again in 1935 and married Etta Loretta Whitehurst in Tulare on May 29, 1935. Floyd and Loretta settled in Lindsay. Floyd enjoyed fishing and hunting and he even raised and hunted with hounds, but he will be fondly remembered as a cowboy. He loved ranching, farming and his horses.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; and by a grandson, Darren Lee Lacy.

He is survived by his daughter, Janice Rice-Pe
