Funeral services will be held for Diana Lynn Fairchild, of Exeter, at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.

Diana passed away unexpectedly Aug. 26, 2006, at the age of 59. She was born in Exeter, Dec. 22, 1946, to Charles R. and Marie (Dame) Little.

Diana moved a few times around the state of Calif. with her parents while growing up, but moved back to Exeter when she was a senior in high school. After a short stay in Georgia she moved back once again to Exeter and married Gary Fairchild, Nov. 28, 1974.

Diana worked at Bailey's Sewing Factory in Visalia. While working there full time and having a family, she went back to college, received an AS degree at College of the Sequoias and became a LVN. She then worked at Kaweah Delta Hospital for 23 years, mostly in Cardiac, with the last few years in Mother/Baby and retiring in February 2006.

Being a Nurse was something she was passionate about. She loved working and helping people. She was also passionate about her family. She would go out of her way to help them.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her infant sister.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary Fairchild, son Eric Fairchild, daughter Dawn Brito and her children; Mikaela, Jesse and Arthur, all of Exeter. Daughter Rhonda Fairchild and her children; Sara, Kristine and Deborah Tarvin, Jonathon Fairchild, Savannah and Estrella Martinez and daughter and son-in-law Robin and Jason Wall and their children; Anyssa, Jaslyn, Jenna and J.T., all of Visalia, her sister Deyana Coldwell of Tulare and her children, and numerous other relatives.

Diana was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She will be missed more than words can say.
