Edward &#8220Lester” Brannon

Graveside services were held for Edward &#8220Lester” Brannon. He passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, Friday, April 13, in Tulare, at the age of 94.

Lester was born in Texas near Abilene in 1912 and moved to California in 1930. He and Hilda were married in 1941, beginning a lifetime of serving the Lord Jesus together. At the age of 50, his gift of singing tenor was discovered, developed and used to bless many people during church services. Lester worked in the olive industry for 37 years, retiring from the Lindsay Consolidated Olive Growers Co. in 1977.

In 1989 Les and Hilda moved to Corcoran where they lived until relocating to Tulare in 2006 because of health reasons. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who modeled a high commitment to Christ and loved his family until he was called home to glory.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hilda, who resides in Tulare; daughter, Cheryl Nelson and her husband Robert of Strathmore; son Randall Brannon and wife, Sarah of Madera; and daughter, Christine Alcorn and her husband, Robert of Corcoran.

Lester had nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
