Obituary: Lon L. McQueen

Mr. Lon L. McQueen, age 85, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Feb. 9 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery on Thursday, March 3 at 11 a.m.

Born on Jan. 7, 1931 in Memphis, Texas, Lon was the son of the late Lon L. McQueen and the late Florence Warnecke McQueen. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a production manager with Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach, Calif. and Teledyne in Lebanon, Tenn.

He is survived by his sisters: Jessie Oakley of Lindsay; Thelma Good of Lindsay; Frances Brinkley of Bakersfield; and brother Curtis (Hazel) McQueen of Lindsay. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Regina McQueen; and seven other brothers and sisters.
